Post Labor Day Product Rollout: War with Iran.

Worth a look. Even if you don't buy into the 'Next Target: Iran' stories that've been floating around since the last pre-emptive war commenced, it is a good wrap up of just how the Bush admin approached the Iraq invasion.

Words Unspoken Are Rendered on War’s Faces:

The bride, Renee Kline, 21, is dressed in a traditional white gown and holds a bouquet of scarlet flowers. The groom, Ty Ziegel, 24, a former Marine sergeant, wears his dress uniform, decorated with combat medals, including a Purple Heart. Her expression is unsmiling, maybe grave. His, as he looks toward her, is hard to read: his dead-white face is all but featureless, with no nose and no chin, as blank as a pullover mask.

Humvee seat Quarterbacks

From the ground: The War as We Saw It.

The authors: Buddhika Jayamaha is an Army specialist. Wesley D. Smith is a sergeant. Jeremy Roebuck is a sergeant. Omar Mora is a sergeant. Edward Sandmeier is a sergeant. Yance T. Gray is a staff sergeant. Jeremy A. Murphy is a staff sergeant.

What would they know?

Tip-dog.

The authoritive pejorative

A response to my comment on the Rudd nudie bar thread over at LP is worth a post:

"A few years ago, a past colleague of mine asked, “hey, you wanna come down to MG’s and look at c*nt with us?” Couldn’t think of anything worse."

Weren’t you a just a bit curious to find out what Phil Ruddock was doing there?

Nice one.

Scared witless - get used to it

Just a little reminder 'a la Duck and Cover' style that fear of mass destruction has been around for a while. I'm prepping my sandwhich board to sport around town, now. It'll read: The sky IS falling.. eventually.

Stunned Victim Turns Hero:

“I’m going to invest in a map,” he said, “and try to go around them.”

What a f*kn ruler!

Pandering to the Potter Fans

Howard and Rudd, in a move Catholic News calls unprecedented, will be staging a debate via webcast next Thursday.

Good discussion going on in the comments (which I generally disagree with) regarding the supposed lack of sway religion has in politics (maybe I've misunderstood). Suggestion is that we shouldn't be concerned.

Well.. powerful minorities have held control before. Alls I'm saying.

The GWOT Dance

US marine convicted of Iraqi murder:

The victim was pulled from his home in April 2006 and shot in a ditch, with an AK-47 and shovel placed nearby to make him look like an insurgent planting a bomb, according to the prosecution.

Like when the two tall buildings fell to the ground, I rejoiced and did a little dance.

I can't wait for the next bit of good news. Let's get this party started right.
